Plaster / Pladur

In Novodeco, we carry out plaster renovation and decoration in any type of building, business premises, house, office, etc. We also carry out interior decoration works with Pladur. We have the necessary means to carry out any type of project.

Plaster is a building material used for coating walls and ceilings. Plaster starts as a dry powder similar to mortar or cement and like those materials it is mixed with water to form a paste which liberates heat and then hardens. Unlike mortar and cement, plaster remains quite soft after setting, and can be easily manipulated with metal tools or even sandpaper. These characteristics make plaster suitable for a finishing, rather than a load-bearing material. Plaster is a widely used building material in Spain.

Plasterboard (we use the brand called KANUF) is known in Spain as Pladur (because it is another brand) and it is a plaster (gypsum) laminated sheet between two layers of cardboard, mainly composed by gypsum and cellulose. It is used in construction, mainly as an alternative to the traditional construction systems composed by bricks and concrete to build partitions, rooms or false ceilings.

Insulations

Sound is a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gas, composed of frequencies within the range of hearing and of a level sufficiently strong to be heard, or the sensation stimulated in organs of hearing by such vibrations. The definition of soundproofing is that it is the main method to control the propagation of sound in the buildings. Particularly, soundproofing deals with the reduction of the transmission of noise between two premises or between one building and another. There are materials for: soundproofing (to reduce to the minimum the noise that enters and leaves a room), thermal insulation (to reduce the temperature entrance in a room).

We work with a wide range of systems and meterials for insulations, both thermal insulation and soundproofing:

• Flat detachable ceilings with mineral fibre, rockwool and wood shavings.

Passive protection

Passive protection against fires is a series of constructive solutions with fire-resistant material, so in case of fire it helps to prevent and avoids the rapid spread of the fire.
